I’m gonna start by saying, I LOVE BALI BUDA. Accidentally came across it while walking on the main strip of Ubud, it easily became my daily go-to for the best kombucha.
My first few days after I stumbled upon this place, I had only known about the grocery store and bakery side of it. And this part of it had already wow’d me so much. Little did I know that hidden in the small alley next door was AN ACTUAL BALI BUDA CAFE. (I know, I am the WORST. Who doesn’t research such stuff?!?)
The cafe got a little crowded during the peak hours(lunch and stuff) which was expected but it was PERFECT in the late afternoon. One of the best places to just sit, have a cold kombucha and read. I ended up spending quite a few lazy afternoons here.
Also, it doesn’t have wifi which meant very few people had their eyes glued to their phones. Everyone had to actually interact! Oh, the horror!
And one of the best things about Bali Buda, in my opinion, like a lot of places in Ubud, it is very eco friendly. There was hardly any plastic and I was SO impressed with their to-go bags.
We could all learn a lot from places like this. Small things, like this bag made of newspaper can really make a positive impact on our environment. More places should start being like this, doing their little part.
